SeaWorld’s new Halloween event offers haunted houses, scare zones, and a Vampire Circus show
The horrors of Howl-O-Scream lurk the corner at SeaWorld San Diegoâs inaugural Halloween night event that begins Sept. 17 and runs through Oct. 31 on select nights. These separate event tickets give guests an experience unlike any other in San Diego, offering all the fears of a typical Halloween event, along with thrilling rides and de- quality entertainment of a theme park.
Visitors will pass three haunted houses and six scary zones, and no one is safe with four eerie herds moving throughout the park. Amidst the gruesome battle, guests can enjoy night rides on three joyous beaches, marvel at the twisted acrobatics and contortions at the Vampire Circus show, dance the night away at the dance-punk-themed dance club and take part in lively recreation in three creative themed bars.

DANGEROUS HOUSE HOUSE
Nightmare Experiment-A government medical experiment at a run-of-the-mill sleep clinic had a terrifying, falling into chaos. The patients gave up their worst nightmares and drove the staff to the brink of madness. Guests fight for their lives and sanity as they rush to escape the clinic, avoiding unruly patients along the way.
Simonâs Slaughterhouse – The local meat processing plant fell into the hands of the accomplished Simon Butcher and his staff. Visitors navigated through bloody corridors, meat-laden people and buzz jigsaws to avoid the butcherâs blades.
Death Water Bayou – The restraining heat and moisture of the dank penetrates the air and takes visitors deeper into Death Water Bayou. Guests wander among the graves, voodoo dolls and spirits of previous mortals unable to escape the Bayou Witchâs house with cursed horrors.
CONCOCTIONS AND COCKTAILS
At the exit of each haunted house, attendees enter an accompanying themed bar.
AmBARlance – After escaping the Nightmare Experiment, AmBARlance is there to cure all the ailments of the guests. Boozy âmedicinesâ are given through IV bags and syringes as well as vodka soaked âvitaminsâ in medicine cups. For a more intense treat, the Pop Rocks rimmed âElectroShockâ cocktail is sure to make their brain pop.
Simon’s Screamatorium – Guests are on the menu at Simon the Butcher’s Screamatorium. Bartenders serve the hottest drinks from inside a smoker the size of Simon, including “The Bloodiest Mary” and “Vomit Shots.”
Murder He Float – Pulled from the depths of the misty swamp, this abandoned Mardi Gras float is revived and glows with the âspiritsâ of the dead Mardi Gras. Guests feasted on grasshoppers and worms in a spoonful of âmudâ and washed it with cursed concoctions, served on Ouija boards, in fishbowls and on the skulls of those who crossed the Bayou Witch.
Fear seekers and outrageous visitors are forced to face their worst fears when entering any of Howl-O-Screamâs six different fear zones. Each is based on the classic haunt genre and will provide unexpected surprises at every turn. Unexpected scary zones include killer clowns and snakes in the First Fright zone, creepy dolls in the Deadly Toys zone, immortal evils in the Graveyard zone, a deadly legend in the La Llorona zone, enticing horrors calling The Sirens zone and the latter obscene monsters that lurk in the forest in The Hauntings zone.
VAMPIRE CIRCUS SHOW
Populated by a motley collection of off-the-wall characters and unparalleled acrobats, Vampire Circus is a performance set in a twisted fantasy universe where excitement and madness give way to a haunted celebration. Guests are immersed in a lively journey through an abandoned cemetery where an extraordinary circus will come to life again. The suspicious entertainment entices audiences and spreads throughout the night with a choice of showtimes for attendees to choose from.
Touring the entire park, the event will feature four roaming hordes of zombies, creatures, and scary characters who scare and surprise every chance they have. For thrill seekers and adrenaline fanatics, Electric Eel, Manta and Journey to Atlantis are open for high-speed nighttime rides. For a break from the howl and scream, guests head to The Underground, a ring-punk-themed dance club where they can show off their freaky dance moves and move their feet in a variety of ways.
